Great Aloha Run High School Fitness Challenge

2010 High School Challenge Winners
1st - Campbell High School
2nd - Castle High School
3rd - Sacred Hearts/St. Louis High Schools

A weekend of fun activities geared towards building teamwork, youth fitness, school spirit and school pride.

Thanks to health-minded companies and generous individuals, 20 Oahu high schools will have 100 students, teachers and family members participate in the 2011 Kaiser Permanente Great Aloha Run.

Each school will have a chance to win cash awards by participating in the Mind & Body Fitness Challenge (team obstacles and games) held Saturday at 1 pm at the GAR Sports, Health & Fitness Expo and the Relay Challenge on Race Day at Aloha Stadium.

Through the generosity of Schnitzer Steel Corporation, the first, second and third place teams will receive $1,000, $750 and $500 respectively. The seven runners-up will receive $200 for their school. Every school will additionally receive $200 for participating thanks to the generous support of HawaiiUSA FCU.

The High School Challenge is coordinated by Rene Mansho of Schnitzer Steel Corporation. For more information call the Great Aloha Run office at 528-7388.
