Event Scoring
New in 2012! Pacific Sport Events will be using a timing tag attached to the back of your run number to score the race. This run number with timing tag must be worn on the front of your running jersey from start to finish in order for you to be recognized as completing the race and receiving an official finish time. It’s important that your run number not be forcefully bent, creased, or heavily wrinkled, as damaged timing tags may not work on race day. The timing tag identifies your run number and should not be worn by any other entrant.
Please Remember...
- To wear your run number on race day.
- Not to forcefully bend, crease, or fold your run number.
- Not to exchange your run number with another runner.
- To secure your run number on the front of your running jersey.
- Not to cross the finish line twice.
- Not to go back on any part of the race course.
- To be eligible for the Open prize money, a participant must be registered in the Open division. The Open prize money award is scored based upon a gun to finish time. The participant is required to cross both the start and finish mats using MyLaps timing tag.
- To be eligible for the Military prize money, a participant must be registered in the Military division. The Military prize money award is scored based upon a gun to finish time. The participant is required to cross the start and finish mats using MyLaps timing tag. The Military prize money award winners are not eligible for the top 10 elite status.
- All age group awards are based upon chip time—the time elapsed from crossing the start line mat to crossing the finish line mat.
- All Elite runners are scored based upon a gun time.
All participants are required to cross the start mat. If the participant has no starting time, he/she will be disqualified and will not appear in the results.
